TDA ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2021 YOUNG FARMER GRANTS — The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is accepting applications for the 2021 Young Farmer Grant Program. Deadline to submit applications is April 8 at 5:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 procedures, applications will only be accepted by email. The purpose of this program is to provide financial assistance in the form of dollar-for-dollar matching grant funds to individuals between the age of 18 and 46 years of age who are engaged or will be engaged in creating or expanding an agricultural business in Texas. TEXAS WATER LEADERS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS — The Texas Water Foundation (TWF) is now accepting applications for the second Texas Water Leaders Program. According to the TWF, the program offers “emerging water leaders the opportunity to grow their leadership skills and become a part of an exclusive network of professionals stepping into positions of leadership” HPWD Education and Outreach Coordinator Katherine Drury was among members of the inaugural class.
