Well Registration 

Summary:

Water wells that produce less than 17.5 gpm do not require a permit from HPWD. However, registering your well with HPWD offers several benefits:

  1. Your well is protected by a minimum 100-yard spacing requirement from newly permitted water wells.
  2. Registration establishes a record of your well with HPWD.
  3. HPWD can provide services such as water level measurement, flow test, and basic water quality screening.

How much does Domestic/Exempt well registration cost?
